General Health Tips
- Sleep. Most research suggests you get 7-8 hours of sleep a day. It is ok to get less than this if you are highly motivated and have a lot to accomplish, but realize you are doing this at the expense of your long-term health.
- Balance.
- Avoid consistent use of drugs and alcohol. They mess with your brain chemistry and pain/pleasure response. A drink never killed anybody, but 10 will kill thousands every year.
- Avoid pharmaceuticals. Of course you should follow your doctor’s advice, but know that the human body did not evolve with Merck or Pfizer alongside. For most of your ailments there are simple remedies that are cheap and don’t involve chemicals (that have only been tested for a few years). - Learn how to defend yourself. We will have a section on this at a later date.
- Wash your hands. Don’t overdo it. Your hands have good bacteria too and excessive washing will leave your body open to infection.
- Clean your home, car, and bedding.
- Be happy! Happy people have better immune systems.
